Dear all,
Please pray for the Lord's mercy on our beloved father Mar Makarios.
Many of us are aware of the St.Gregorios Mission which has several
non-Malayalee parishes in the United States and working under the guidance of
Makarios Thirumeni, but which has not yet been accepted by the Holy Church as
its own.
To my understanding, perhaps the Mission has not yet been presented
formally before the Holy Synod of the Church for review. Perhaps the
time had not yet come.
Please see one such mission parish here:

While our roots are Malayalee, our faith is by no means Malayalee -
we are part of the Holy Body of Christ, the One Apostolic Holy
Church. And Makarios Thirumeni understood this and its significance
in North America - as seen by Thirumeni's work among these non-
Malayalee parishes.
Today as I was going through the above website, the thought
naturally occurred - what next? Can we as a Church and as the
American Diocese try to understand this mission of Makarios
Thirumeni without any negative feelings? Can we rise above petty
bickerings and see the big picture that Mar Makarios could see for
the Church on this side of the planet? Will these parishes be one
day absorbed into the Church? Or will they be left without a
shepherd to tend them? Will opportunistists lead them away? Will wolves tear
them apart?
Will we learn from past mistakes? What can we do? Can we (the Church)
atleast begin a process to understand what can be done?
Some passing thoughts as I submit my humble prayers to the Lord
Almighty for Makarios Thirumeni.
Regards,
