Thoughts during the Lent of the Advent - Outreach endeavours in
the
Church

St.Thomas Balabhavan, Attapadi
http://www.attappadystthomasashram.org/
------------ -------
This balabhavan takes care of poor and orphaned tribal
children and operates in the Attapadi tribal belt. It
provides medical care for the tribals.
There is Qurbana celebrated every morning at the
Ashram. I have been in touch with Rev. Fr. M.D. John
and Rev.Fr. S.Paul who work at the Ashram and know
first hand their dedication and commitment to the
cause they have given their life for.
Two dear and special children at the Ashram, 3 yrs old
Sachu and 5 1/2 yrs old Sneha deserve special mention.
They both could not hear and speak till recently.
Earlier this year they underwent an expensive surgery
and by the grace of our Lord and by the kind heart of several well wishers, they
can hear now and are undergoing speech therapy. This link would provide good
information about them:

The website of the ashram provides good information
about the needs and the ways to help. If you need
further information, do let me know.
Little about our Albany Sunday School in this regard:
---------------------------------------------------
The very small Sunday School here in Albany have been
engaged in establishing a link with Sneha and Sachu.
It is our dream that the kids here will be able to
sustain and nurture the relationship over the years.
This Christmas the kids prepared Christmas cards and
messages for Sneha which have now been sent to Sneha
along with video clippings of messages for Sneha.
warm regards,
