The Character of Thomas - a vehicle for Revelations

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:5,6 (KJV)

Christ is preparing the disciples for his departure and for their tasks ahead. He is also setting the scene for the revelations about Himself as the giver of life, as the Ultimate truth and the only way to the Yahweh. "I am the way, the truth, and the life"(John 14:6) is a timeless message by the Son of God to the world. It is an assurance given by the Eternal Word of God to the entire mankind. Jesus, propelled by the power and leverage provided by the Holy Spirit, who reminded the writers of the Gospel to record the words and deeds of Christ for future generations, is speaking to the entire Creation. "I am the way, the truth and the life" is a pledge given by God to mankind doomed in sin.
This message of Christ is the center-piece of many a sermons and messages delivered every day bringing hope to mankind.
St. Thomas becomes the vehicle for revelations
Let us now focus on how this message came about being delivered for posterity.Christ is preparing the disciples for his going away. At this time Thomas is seen asking the Lord "Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?" (John 14:5). That question became the trigger for the grand revelation by the Savior about "The Way, the truth and the life".

Thomas became a vehicle for presenting of this wonderful message for us. Thank God for the message, praise be to the Lord of Thomas.
