Looks like while we were busy discussing divisions in our Church a
truly
Christian incident escaped our attention - an incident that could
have far reaching consequences for the future of American Diocese.
Readers, please confirm this story, I heard recently:
Looks like while our beloved Osthathios Thirumeni was in NY earlier
this year, HG was invited to a Church. Osthathios Thirumeni took the
stand that he will come only if both Makarios Thirumeni and Barnabas
Thirumeni are present along with him.(It is said that Barnabas Thirumeni was not
allowed to enter this Church for some time now)
The ploy worked!! The hapless organisers applied the correct
pressures, and what finally happened was a dream come true:
Makarios Thirumeni and Osthathios Thirumeni proceeded to the Aramana
in BellRose, Queens and from there picked up Barnabas Thirumeni and
Samuel Corepiscopa Achen and all four Fathers, each a giant in his
own right, together proceeded to the said Church, to appear before
the faithful on the same platform. Isn't that really wonderful?!
Hurt may run deep, and seem impossible to heal, but nothing is
impossible for the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Mar Osthathios , for the
gesture shown and not giving up on this issue.
