Lord make me that dog.

Lord, make me that dog.

Lord, Make me that dog.Lord grant me the fortune to be that dog who is by your feet looking for the crumbs that fall down from your table, that I may be blessedby it.

The daughter of the Canaanite woman was healed because her mother understood the true worth of being such a dog.(Matthew 15:21 onwards) Undaunting in faith, she kept begging to the Lord, to allow herthe fortunes of that dog, till the Lord answered her prayers.
Lord, make me that dog.

A dog that will never leave His Master's side, a dog that will never doubt the Master's intentions, a dog that is ever willing to do His Master's Will, and obey every of His Commands - Lord, Make me that dog.

In my present state, I doubt you, I do not yearn for you enough, you are not always my top-most priority; my intellect and my relations, my comforts and my responsibilities, often form barriers distancing You from me - Lord, make me that dog, so that I may be ever loyal to you.

In my present state, I am often satisfied with the (false) securityof my life, and do not understand the true worth and need of your constant protection and care; make me that dog,Lord, so that I may see Your role as the Master more clearly.

The dog that waits untiringly for His Master's return, the dog that loves the Master more than His own self, Lord, make me that dog.

Today,I am often guided by pride and hypocrisy, often led by greed and selfishness, Lord, make me that dog that I may be ever content to lie at your feet and serve You.

Lord, give me the faith of that Canaanite Woman, that the Churchreminds me of during the great Lent Season.

Regards,Mathew
